Begin your journey early morning, board the SGR from Nairobi early in the morning—aim for the 8:00 AM Madaraka Express. Enjoy scenic views of Kenya’s landscapes as you head to Mombasa. Upon arrival at Mombasa Terminus, after arrival at Mombasa terminal you will be met by our representatives who will transfer you to Pride Inn Paradise Beach Resort. After check-in, spend your afternoon unwinding by the beach or pool. In the evening, indulge in a Swahili-inspired seafood dinner at the resort’s Blue Turtle Restaurant, featuring dishes like grilled prawns, biryani, and coconut fish curry. Dinner and overnight at the resort.

Start with a hearty buffet breakfast at the resort. Mid-morning, join a guided excursion to Mombasa’s famous Kongowea Market, where you’ll explore spices, tropical fruits, and local ingredients used in Swahili cooking. Return to the resort for a cooking class led by the chef, where you’ll learn to prepare dishes like samaki WA kupaka (grilled fish in coconut sauce) and mahamri. Take time to enjoy a massage or a stroll along the private beach before checking out. In the early afternoon, transfer to the Mombasa Terminus for your return SGR train to Nairobi.
